I"ll never forget the 1st time I saw a Giant Garden Spider in PA. They have a huge body that has bright yellow markings on them. And the webs they create are very large and impressive. We had one make a web across the back steps to our house. Thankfully it was a 2 sided set of steps. The Spider was there for about 2 weeks and then moved on.
It is really cool to find a bug and toss it into the web. The Garden Spider moves very fast. grabs the bugs and wraps it up in webbing.
